About the Firm
Kevin G. Staker, the principal in the firm, received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Utah College of Law, and his Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Taxation degree from New York University School of Law. Kevin is the founder of the Planned Giving Council of Ventura County. Kevin has three times been a member of the Board of the Ventura County Bar Association, and was the chair of its annual dinner committee 14 of 15 years. He is one of the few attorneys in the State of California who is both a Certified Specialist in Taxation Law and a Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law as certified by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization. He has an “AV” (highest) rating by his peers according to the Martindale-Hubbell lawyer directory.

Vivian Christiansen obtained her paralegal certification and Associate’s Degree from Oxnard College and has been employed with StakerLaw since March, 1999. She is a Certified Paralegal, certified by the National Association of Legal Assistants, Inc. Certifying Board. Ms. Christiansen is presently attending Ventura College of Law. She primarily assists with probate and trust administration matters.

Deborah Vaughn obtained her bachelor’s degree from University of the Pacific and has been employed with StakerLaw since April, 2005. Ms. Vaughn primarily assists with complex probate and trust administration matters.
Rebecca Horton obtained her bachelor’s degree from UCLA and has been employed with StakerLaw since June, 1990. She is a certified paralegal, certified by the National Association of Legal Assistants, Inc. Certifying Board. Ms. Horton is presently attending Northwestern California University School of Law. She primarily assists in business formations, probate, guardianship, conservatorship and trust administration matters, and Medi-Cal planning.
Steven Lundberg is a paralegal with the firm. He has a bachelor’s degree. He formerly served in the United States Air Force. Steven is presently attending Southwestern Law School.
